After the Ministry of Home Affairs issued an advisory highlighting multiple security issues with the Zoom App, the Bombay HC on Friday stated that all hearings in urgent matters will be conducted via Vidyo software instead.

On April 16, the Cyber Coordination Centre under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs issued an advisory stating that the Zoom App is not a safe platform for use by Government officers/officials for official purposes.

Thus, the High Court issued a notice declaring that hearings in “extremely urgent matters” at the HC of Bombay in Goa and other benches including the Principal seat in Bombay, Aurangabad bench, Nagpur bench will now be conducted via the ‘Vidyo’ software.
