NLUO, HNLU and NLUJAA contribute to relief funds set up to combat COVID-19 pandemic

National Law Universities across the country are coming forward to contribute financial aid to fight the (COVID-19) pandemic.

The faculty and staff at National Law University Odisha (NLUO) have contributed one day’s salary, amounting to Rs. 1,46,993 to the CM Relief Fund.

Additionally, the administration of NLUO has also given full paid leave to the housekeeping, security and gardening staff.

The National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) has made a contribution of Rs 1,05,019 to the Assam Arogya Fund, which has been generated by collecting one day’s salary from every employee of NLUJAA.

Similarly, while responding to the UGC initiative, the permanent teaching and non-teaching employees of Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) have donated their one day’s salary to PM Cares fund.

The Vice Chancellor of HNLU, Prof VC Vivekanandan also said that the University is taking all necessary precautions amid the pandemic and tha student interaction is done only via remote classes.
