About ACLAT 2020 (Alliance School of Law)

Alliance Common Law Admission Test commonly known ACLAT is an entrance exam conducted by Alliance University, Bangalore for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes including B.A.L.L.B and B.B.A.L.L.B. The entrance test is an offline paper for shortlisting candidates based on their performance in ACLAT 2020. The application form of ALCAT 2020 is now open. 

Alliance Common Law Admission Test (ACLAT) a two-hour duration paper will have 200 questions of one mark each. The questions in the exam will be from the following subject areas-language proficiency, general awareness, legal aptitude, numerical ability, and logical reasoning and analytical ability. The Alliance University follows a negative marking scheme where 0.25 marks for every wrong answer will be deducted from the total score.

Based on the ACLAT results, a rank list will be published, which will be the basis for Personal Interview round, upon which a final merit list will be announced for ACLAT 2020 admissions into B.A.L.L.B and B.B.A.L.L.B programmes.

ACLAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of ACLAT 2020 mentions the minimum academic qualification and age bar required to appear in ACLAT 2020. A candidate filling-up the application form of ACLAT 2020 need to read and understand the ACLAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria and then fill up the ACLAT 2020 Application Form.   • Candidates need to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST candidates).
  • There is no age bar to appear in ACLAT 2020 as per the Supreme Court’s stay on age bar in 2017.
  • If any candidate is found ineligible at the time of admission, his/her application form will be cancelled even in the later stages.

Alliance University has opened the application form of ACLAT 2020 on November 27, 2020 in both online and offline mode. Candidates need to duly fill and submit ACLAT 2020 Application Form before the last date. Candidates are advised to fill-in all the details asked carefully as no rectifications could be possible once the form has been submitted. After successful filling of the ACLAT Application Form 2020, candidates will be required to remit a prescribed application fee of Rs. 1000 in online mode using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Candidates who will fill the application form of ACLAT 2020 in offline mode will be required to send the filled form at the address given below –

ACLAT 2020 Exam Pattern

As per the ACLAT 2020 Exam pattern has announced by Alliance University, candidates will be examined on the subjects namely – General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English (Including Comprehension), Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. There will be 200 questions segregated into five sections as mentioned above wherein the candidates will be awarded one mark while for each correct answer and 0.25 marks each will be deducted for wrong answers from the total score

ACLAT 2020 Result

Alliance University will announce the result of ACLAT 2020 in the month of June 2020 for the law test-takers. Candidates will get access of the ACLAT 2020 Result in online mode through their registered accounts by entering their registration number of ACLAT 2020 and Date of Birth.

  • The candidate will be directed to a log-in window 
  • Enter log-in credentials
  • Upon log-in, the ACLAT 2020 result would be displayed on screen
  • Download and take a printout of the result.

ACLAT 2020 Counselling

Mode of Counselling: Offline

Candidates who qualify in ACLAT 2020 entrance exam will invite to participate in ACLAT 2020 counselling cum interview process. Eligible candidates have to report in person for counselling of ACLAT 2020 on the assigned day, along with originals of all essential documents and also the counselling call letter. At the time of counselling, the candidate will to get their documents verified; any candidate who fails the document verification process will get disqualified.

The allotment of seats during ACLAT 2020 counselling will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices one has opted for admission.
