Khaitan & Co has virtually hired a total of 49 fresh graduates from as many as 20 law schools across the country . The batch of 2020 hires will join the firm on October 12.
The main reasons for postponing the joining date of freshers was the difficulty in inducting and bringing them into the Khaitan & Co in a ‘work from home’ environment.
33 of these hires were made through pre-placement offers (PPOs).
The firm has hired 6 graduates each from Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) Sonepat, and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) Kolkata.

5 graduates each have been hired from National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal and National Law University, Jodhpur.
3 hires each were made from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad; National Law University, Delhi; and Symbiosis, Pune.
