Brief History about Justice Sanjay Gupta

 Born on 24.11.1961, Justice Sanjay Gupta did matriculation from Oriental Academy, Jammu in 1976, and then completed graduation in B.Sc with full medical subjects from G.G.M Science College, Jammu in 1982 and after wards L.L.B. from University of Jammu.

Justice joined Jammu bar in the Chamber of S.S Lehar (Senior Advocate) after enrolling as Advocate in Bar Council of Delhi in 1986 and practised in subordinate courts and before High Court in all fields including criminal, civil, revenue, MACT etc.

Various Posts enshrined to the Late Justice

He was a direct recruit in higher judicial service as District and Sessions Judge on 22.01.2004 and was initially posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge Doda, served as District and Sessions Judge in various courts at Jammu, including 1st additional, 2nd additional ,3rd AdditionalDistrict and Sessions judge and Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu.

He was also posted as 3rd and 4th additional District and sessions Judge Srinagar, Judicial member special tribunal, J&K at Jammu and simultaneously, Principal District and Sessions Judge Leh, Principal District and sessions Judge, Rajouri. He was elevated to permanent judge of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir from the post of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu.

On 06.06.2017,He took the oath and became the High Court Judge.
