The Allahabad HC suspended the order of Re- opening of Subordinate Courts and Tribunals till 27th April 2020.

In a letter addressed to all the District Judges in UP, the Registrar General intimated that in view of spread of the virus in various districts in the state and on account of “safety concerns” of various stakeholders, its order dated April 18 will be kept in abeyance.

The Registrar General had intimated that all the Courts subordinate to Allahabad High Court and all Commercial Courts, Motor Accident Claims Tribunals and Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authorities across the State will be opened from 20th April, 2020 for working, where court campuses are situated outside of the containment zones.

The decision came in light of the latest figures, which suggest 825 active corona cases with 14 fatalities. It’s reported to have spread across 50 districts in UP.
