Centre notifies establishment of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) for UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh

The Central Government has notified the establishment of a Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Bench in Jammu.

On May 22, the Supreme Court had issued notice in a plea seeking the setting up of a permanent Bench of Central administrative tribunal (CAT )in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for hearing service matters.

While restoring the pre-April 29 jurisdiction of CAT Chandigarh, Central Government has now notified the creation of a new CAT for Jammu, within days of issuance of notice in the plea.
