The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has contributed a total sum of Rs. 70 lakh towards the PM CARES Fund and the J&K Relief Fund, to help in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per a press note issued in behalf of contributing in PM cares fund,
“a cheque of Rs. 50 Lac in favour of the PM Cares along with a letter has been formally sent by the Registrar General of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court to the Under Secretary (Funds) PMO, South Block, New Delhi and another Cheque of Rs. 20 Lac in favour of the J&K Relief Fund along with a letter has been handed over to the Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble LG UT of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The Chief Justice and all Judges of the High Court had contributed Rs. 25,000/- each. Similarly, all the district Judges, Sub Judges and Munsiffs of UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladhak had also contributed Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 7,500 each respectively.
All the gazetted officers of the High Court staff and subordinate Court staff may make the contribution of Rs. 5000 each, whereas all the non-gazetted staff of the High Court and subordinate Courts may contribute one day’s salary each .
