The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday issued notice on a writ petition filed by a group of advocates challenging the Haryana Official Language (Amendment) Act, 2020, which made Hindi the official language of civil and criminal courts in the State of Haryanaand was stated as violative of Section 30 of the Advocates Act, 1961, Article 14 and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India, 1950 by the petitioners.
A bench comprising Justices Rajan Gupta and Karamjit Singh issued notice to the Respondents.
