A full court meeting of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde reached a consensus to continue working during summer vacation so that court work goes on at least till June 19.

The Supreme Court has further decided that the five benches, ordinarily comprising 3 judges, will take up all kinds of pending and fresh matters, including urgent ones, through video conferencing starting from May 18 till June 19.
However, even though the courts would continue functioning, the CJI in consultation with other Judges will constantly track the COVID-19 pandemic and review the decision of not availing the summer vacation.
