The Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has appointed 103 new full time faculty members in the 2020-21 academic year, including 42 academic tutors & TRIP fellows and presently has a total of 425 nationally and internationally qualified full time faculty members, largest in India and South Asia. 57% of JGLS faculty are women and 68% of the newly hired JGLS faculty are women.
In addition to these faculty members, 12 Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of India and 11 law firm Partners offer 21 specialised elective courses to the students under the aegis of the Lawyering Excellence for Advocacy Development (LEAD) Programmeand the Corporate Lawyering Advancement through Immersion and Mentoring (CLAIM) Programme.
76% of its faculty members have at least one international qualification from the leading universities of the world.
Among the 103 new hires, 33 faculty members are graduates from 11 different National Law Universities. This takes the total number of NLU graduates at JGLS to 143, comprising nearly 34% of the total faculty.
