The School of Law, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is proud to host the 8th UPES National Client Counselling Competition, 2020.
This Client Counselling Competition addresses the fundamental skills necessary for all successful attorneys; namely the ability to interview, counsel, and support a client through their legal issue. The participants shall conduct an initial interview with a person playing the role of the client and then address both the client’s legal and non-legal issues.
The previous editions of Client Counselling Competition were based on a wide range of Indian laws and statutes such as constitutional law, the contract law, law of torts, consumer laws, criminal laws, Electronic Disputes and family laws which enunciated a wide knowledge of law.
This year’s competition is based on the laws related to the DISPUTES THEME. It involves the following subjects: Law of Contracts, Constitutional Law, Family Law, Consumer Protection, Intellectual Property Rights, Criminal Laws,Competition Law, Information Technology Laws and other codified and un-codified laws relevant to the team.
The Client Counselling Association of UPES has always endeavored to achieve higher standards with respect to every aspect of the competition, ranging from the quality of the problems to that of the judges and to ensure impeccable hospitality and professionalism.
