About Kanooniyat Meme Making Competition

This meme making event, ‘Milestoned Memes’, by Kanooniyat is a fun competition to encourage students to cultivate their creativity and give a boost to their flair for humour. The ultimate goal of this event is the quest for a meme that is both, relatable and funny. For the evaluation process, emphasis will be laid on a candidate’s vision to develop a jocular jewel of a meme and viewer engagement.

Themes for the Competition:

We welcome meme submissions from students on the following themes:

1. College in a pandemic

2. Law school life

3. Adulting 

4. Online classes

Eligibility for Kanooniyat Meme Making Competition

• Winner: Rs. 1000 + Certificate of Merit
• Participation Certificates to all the participants.

Submission Guidelines

• The memes must promote healthy humour.
• Memes should not have content that is sexist, homophobic, racist, or abusive. If it is not safe to view or share at work, it should not feature in a meme.
• Submissions should be in .jpeg or .jpg or .doc format only.
• The meme(s) submitted should not have been submitted for publication elsewhere.
• There is no bar on the maximum number of submissions by a participant. However, only the best entry from one participant will be considered for evaluation as per the discretion of the organizing committee.

Evaluation and Judging

1. The organizing committee will first shortlist the top 6 entries based on creativity, ideas used, humour and relevance to the theme (s).

2. The top 6 entries will then be uploaded on Kanooniyat’s Instagram page as stories and a poll will be generated to choose the top 3. This will be based on viewership and engagement.

3. The top 3 entries will be uploaded as posts on Kanooniyat’s Instagram page on three consecutive days, at the same time (one post each day). By 17^th of September, the post with the highest number of reactions, i.e., likes, comments, shares and saves, will be adjudged the winning meme.

Copyright of the Submissions:

1. All memes submitted shall be the exclusive property of the organizers.
2. The organizers shall be free to use the submissions in any manner they require and deem fit.
3. The organizers shall have the right to publish the submissions on their website and/or social media profiles as they feel appropriate.
4. The decision of organizers in deciding the winner(s) shall be final and binding and no query, correspondence, etc. in this regard shall be entertained by the organizers.

Note:

1. Meme submissions incompatible with the above rules and submission guidelines will not be considered for evaluation.
2. The submission of entries to the competition implies acceptance of the above terms and conditions by the participant(s).
3. Kanooniyat reserves the right to cancel the event at any point before the conduct of the event. In such a case, any fee paid as registration fee shall be refunded in full to the registered participants.

Registration and Submission Procedure

1. Participants are required to register for the Meme Making Competition by paying the registration fee by 11:59 PM, 10th September, 2021. (Link Mentioned Below)
2. Once the registration fee is paid, participants have to take a screenshot of the same and fill the registration form.
3. After they fill the registration form, participants may submit their meme(s) using the submission form link.
4. The participants are required to submit their memes by 11:59 PM, 11th September 2021, after which the submission form will not accept entries.

Registration Fee

The participants are required to register for Kanooniyat’s Meme Making Competition by paying the registration fee of Rs. 50 , through the payment link provided, before the registration deadline, i.e. 10^th September, 2021.
