ABOUT RGNUL STUDENT RESEARCH REVIEW (RSRR)

The RGNUL Student Research Review Journal is a bi-annual, student-run, blind peer reviewed, flagship journal based at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. It has been founded with the objective of facilitating arguments in black and white. Legal Research skills form the core of the learning process in any dimension of law.

ABOUT THE BLOG

RSRR, in 2017, began with its Blog Series which provides a platform for critically analysing contemporary and unexplored legal issues. The RSRR Blog Series was named one of the top 35 Constitutional Law Blogs by Feedspot. It has been chosen from thousands of options based upon the relevance and influence of the blog, among other factors.

CALL FOR BLOGS

The RSRR Blog Series invites submissions from students, academicians, lawyers and other professionals from the legal fraternity on rolling basis on the theme “Re-imagining Gender- Based Policies: Towards a More Inclusive Society for Different Genders”. The submission may deal with any contemporary issue within the broad theme. The selected blogs will be published on the website of RSRR.

The aim of this series is to reflect on the role of gender in various arenas of law, and the existence of gender bias therein, obstructing the growth of a more inclusive world. Gender, despite being a social construct, is a complex phenomenon that guides our institutions and way of living under many dimensions – from gender identity and reproductive rights, to gender- based discrimination in seemingly-unrelated fields such as Artificial Intelligence. The pressing need of the hour is to combat the toxic narratives pertaining to gender that have been perpetuated in society, and to bring about a new order through legal research and policy recommendations.
