ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
CUSB was established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, with the motto, ‘Collective Reasoning’. The School of Law and Governance is a pioneer in grooming modern day legal professionals with a multidisciplinary edge by providing specialization in Corporate Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Constitutional Law, Taxation Law, International Trade & Investment, Banking, Finance & Insurance, IPR, Environment Law and Medical & Forensic Law.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Legal Aid Clinic in association with Literary and Debating Society, School of Law and Governance, Central University of South Bihar is delighted to officially invite you to the “1ST CUSB NATIONAL ONLINE CONFERENCE ON WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND ROLE OF LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY” which is scheduled for 7th & 8th March 2021 on the occasion of International Women’s Day which is celebrated on 8th March every year around the world. It is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights.
The two-day conference is specially designed to discuss and deliberate on various interdisciplinary areas and core issues pertaining to the theme and suggest the way forward. The conference will showcase the importance of Women empowerment in accordance with role of Legal Services Authority in India. The committee aims to mould well informed and aware citizens of the country on women rights and provide room of discourse, dissent, and discussion in the student community. The Student Body at CUSB is an integral part of law school which develops and enhances the communication skills, and reasoning ability among the students.

- Role of Judiciary in Women Empowerment
- Issues & Challenges in Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005
- Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.
- An assessment of functioning of LOK ADALAT in speedy/ Free Justice Delivery system.
- Role of Family Courts for effective dispute settlement
- Protection of Women from Cruelty & Liquor Ban.
Note: Similar Contemporary issues and challenges can be accepted by the Organizing Committee.
ABSTRACT
The abstract must be developed on A4-sheet in Word Document Format typed in Times New Roman in 12 font size with 1.5 line spacing in not more than 300 words.
The abstract should contain personal details of the author(s) in the order:
- Title of the paper
- Name
- Designation
- Institute/University/ College/Organization
- Contact number
- E-mail and address(es) of the author(s).
Kindly indicate the name of the main author for correspondence in case of more than one author.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstracts are invited for the conference from faculty members, researchers, doctoral scholars and students across the country.

- Research Scholars: Rupees 100-/
- Students: No registration charge shall be taken from the Students.
Note: Co-authorship is limited to 2 authors. The paper submitted for this conference shall not be submitted elsewhere or should not be under consultation for any other event.
