Fellowship: PCGT Good Governance [June 2020-May 2021, Mumbai]

About the Fellowship

In order to sensitize the youth in ethical values with an emphasis on good governance, PCGT invites fresh graduates in any discipline for a one-year, full-time, paid commitment towards the Good Governance Fellowship program. Through this program, the Fellow will get exposed to the projects and activities undertaken by PCGT, including Youth For Governance, RTI/RTS and Kuch Aurr.

Duration and Nature of Fellowship

  1. The duration of the Fellowship shall be one year, i.e. from June 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021, subject to a maximum extension of 6 months based on the performance of the candidate.
  2. The Good Governance Fellow will work with PCGT purely on a contractual basis and the Fellowship will not culminate into or guarantee any employment opportunity with PCGT.
  3. The Fellowship requires full-time commitment and the Fellow will be required to attend PCGT’s office in Mumbai from Monday to Friday (9.30 am to 5.30 pm). The Fellow will also be required to attend projects/sessions beyond office timings from time to time.
  4. The Fellow shall receive a fixed stipend of INR 20,000/- per month, subject to applicable deductions.
  5. The Fellow will be required to make arrangements for his/her accommodation throughout the Fellowship.

Vacancy

Maximum two fellows will be selected for the 2020-21 cycle (June to May).

Eligibility

Fresh graduates in any discipline showing leadership potential and strong desire to work for transparency and accountability in governance are eligible to apply for the Fellowship

Selection Process

  1. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the program by emailing their CV and an essay on the topic “Why should I be chosen as a PCGT Good Governance Fellow” to publicconcern[at]gmail.com on or before April 14, 2020 (5 pm). The essay must be sent in word / PDF format and the word limit is minimum 1500 words. The subject of the said email should “Application for PCGT Good Governance Fellowship 2020-21”. 
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at PCGT Office in the month of May. The exact date and time slot of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates after the perusal of all the Applications by the PCGT Board of Trustees.
  3. The decision of the PCGT Board of Trustees in the selection process shall be final and binding on all Applicants.
