About National Article Writing Competition: ICFAI Law School Dehradun

The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established under the ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act Number 16 of 2003) passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly and assented to by the Governor on July 08, 2003.

The Bar Council of India has accorded its approval for imparting three year and five year Law Courses at ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand and award degrees in law.

About the Competition

In an effort, to disseminate legal knowledge and research, ICFAI Law School, Dehradun presents 1st National Article Writing Competition to give a platform to budding lawyers to express their views on the integral legal issues. The primary objective of this competition is to encourage law students across various colleges in India, to develop analytical thinking on some of the important socio-legal problems through the lens of law.

With an endeavour to encourage the enthusiasm of the young students of the legal fraternity to come up with new ideas and suggestions to decipher current legal conflicts, the broad theme of the competition is reserved as ā€œContemporary Issues in India under Constitutional Lawā€.

  • Co-authorship to a maximum of two authors is permitted.
  • The registration is restricted to only 100 participants, which will be strictly on ā€œFirst Come First Serve Basisā€.

  • Constitutional Morality
  • Data Protection Bill and Right to Privacy
  • Patriarchy and Permanent Commission in Army
  • Constitutional Supremacy or Parliamentary Sovereignty?

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing the three or five-year LLB course from any Law school/college/university in India are eligible to participate.
  • Students pursuing their LLM from any Law school/college/university are eligible to participate.

How to Submit

  • A brief abstract not exceeding 300 words, on the topic chosen, must be emailed to the organizers at nlec2403@gmail.com by 1st May 2020.
  • The soft copy of Article (one in Word file and one in Pdf) must be emailed to the organizers at nlec2403@gmail.com latest by 15th May 2020.

The registration is free of cost.
