Law Essentials is an enthusiastic student organisation where the best legal brains provide updates on the latest current affairs. The Organisation provides the latest legal content by way of blogs and journals, offers various certificate courses and hosts a number of webinars. We strive to inculcate knowledge in order to achieve greater heights in future. Â
Law Essentials is an E- Learning Platform aiming to bridge the gap between academic curriculum and practice requirements.
ADVISORY BOARD
Dr. Adish C Aggarwala (President, International Council of Jurists, Chairman at All India Bar Association and at India Legal Information Institute). He is also the Chairman, Advisory Board, Law Essentials.
The Board of Advisors comprise of Adv. Jayant Bhatt (Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court Member at International Bar Association) Law Essentials, Adv. Ashima Mandla (Advocate at Supreme Court of India and Secretary at Criminal Justice Society of India), Mr. Akash Gupta (Assistant Lecturer, Jindal Global Law School, LL.M. Arbitration, Stockholm University), Adv. Tariq Khan (Principal Associate, Advani & Co.), Adv. Jasleen Kaur (Associate,TrialBASE Advocates), Adv. Utkarsha Nikam (Advocate, Bombay High Court & Associate, Kanga and Co.), Adv. Gagan Ganapathy (Advocate, Founder and Head, Lawyers Transcontinental) and Mr. Swarnendu Chatterjee (Advocate, L&L Partners, New Delhi, Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India).
THEME FOR THE COMPETITION
Essays on any subject having a legal framework shall be accepted.
ELIGIBILITY
All Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from any recognised Colleges/ Universities are eligible to participate in the Competition.
Only one submission per author will be accepted. Multiple or incomplete submissions would lead to disqualification.
Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- The essay should not exceed 2000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
- Bluebook 19th Edition must be used for all Citations.
- The essay should be accompanied by an Abstract of about 250 words.
- The essay must be in Times New Roman, Font-size 12, Spacing- 1.5 and Alignment must be justified.
- The Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, Font-size 10 with Single spacing and Alignment must be justified.
- Plagiarism must not exceed a level of 15%. (The plagiarism level is exclusive of footnotes.)
- All submissions should be made in a word document via an email to lawessentials1234[at]gmail.com.

IMPORTANT DATES
The interested participants can register themselves for the competition latest by 30th June, 2020.
The deadline for submitting the essay is 11: 59 PM on 7th July, 2020.
The results shall be declared by 15th July, 2020.
