Memo Pundits presents to you an ‘Article Writing Competition’ to hone your writing skills on issues of contemporary relevance. Exciting prizes await you! Read the details below to know more!
Theme
- The theme for this article writing competition is any legal issue of contemporary relevance.
- The theme revolves around the necessary knowledge for any law student, regarding what is happening around them, from a legal perspective.
Eligibility
All law students, academicians, and practising lawyers are invited to participate.

Last date of registration for the competition | 30th April 2021 |
Last date for submission of the article | 7th May 2021 |
Declaration of results | 15th May 2021 |
Submission Guidelines
- Word limit: Minimum 800 words – Maximum 1500 words.
- Apart from single authorship, co-authorship is permitted up to 2 authors.
- The topic of the article should fall within the theme of this competition.
- Plagiarism is prohibited. Authors must ensure that they are submitting their original work. All articles would be put through a plagiarism scanner to verify the same.
- All submissions must be made in .doc or .docx format of MS Word.
- The Cover Page of the Article must consist of the following:
- Name
- College of the Author
- Contact Details of the Author ( Email along with your WhatsApp number)
- Title of the Article
- Font
- Main Body: Times New Roman, 12 points with 1.5 line spacing
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 points with 1.0 line spacing
Evaluation Criteria
- The Relevance of the Topic – Topic should not just be relevant but also pique the interest of the readers.
- The Novelty of the Topic – The ideas must be original and not merely a paraphrasing of existing articles/blogs. (All documents will be checked by our plagiarism tool, so if an article is plagiarized, it will be rejected immediately.)
- Language and Grammar –
- Easily comprehensible language should be used while avoiding any grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Effective Expression: Sentences should be short and crisp, delivering effective expression in the least number of words.
- Cohesive structure: The idea must flow in an organized chain of thought.

- An Interactive Piece of Writing using Relevant Keywords – The article must be interactive to hold the reader’s attention. An attempt must be made to use keywords that are generally used on Search Engines.
- Use of Pictorial Representations (pictures, charts, etc)

- Fee: INR 100 for single author and INR 150 for co-authors. (A maximum of 2 authors are allowed.)

Submission Procedure
Submit your article through this form only after your registration is done in accordance with the guidelines. Submission is to be made ONLY through the Google form provided above. Separate emails containing the submissions will not be accepted.
