Job Mission & Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Liaison with government and regulatory authorities for procurement of necessary licences for new stores and renew licenses of existing stores.
- Pre-feasibility assistance to Business Development team on new sites, with opinion provided on feasibility of procurement of licenses
- To ensure time bound delivery of licenses for timely store openings as well as to make the system more cost effective
- To float document assessment process with Business Development team to speed up clearance for new sites
- Processing of 5-7 Licenses per store
- Renewal of 2-3 licenses per store each year
- Review of legal agreements/contracts in view of municipal and regulatory requirements for all new/existing sites
- Assists in developing and ensuring the uniform implementation of permitting and licensing policies and procedures.
- Preparation of regional budget for new store license costs and renewals
- Management of consultant relationships
- Formalising new consultant contracts terms
- Relationship management with regulatory bodies like Municipality, Health Office, S&E, Labour, weights and measures
- To implement e-licensing process for all available opportunities through better understanding with government department in order to reduce renewal cost and time for Licenses being applied through this system
- Resolving regulatory matters like court summons and representing our case
- Assess licensing requirements and updates on all amendments, notifications, bye laws, rules and regulations for west region and to ensure implementation of all applicable changes across the region, if any.
- Updating document management system with record keeping
- Training of store partners on license compliance issues
Qualification and Experience
- BA/LLB/B.com from reputed institutes
- 3-4 years of experience in the QSR Industry
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Applicable ordinances and laws and basic procedures pertaining to land use application and review processes
• Accurately examine building permit and license applications
• Communicate laws, ordinances and policies both orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and tactful manner
• Establish and maintain effective work relationships with government and regulatory bodies
• Organisational agility and expertise in managing and prioritising multiple projects- delivering results consistently
• Self-driven with expertise in driving new initiatives
