A peer-reviewed ISSN registered journal, which encourages expressionism from young minds. LSS Research Mentorship Consortium provides for counselling in research and indagation methods. It also provides the reports for self- assessment along with the research manuscripts.

Competition Details:

?Case commentary are important to enhance the skill of interpretation of laws and to form an opinion on the judgements. Writing a good case commentary involves in-depth reading of the judgement, effective research, understanding of laws, and analytical writing.

National Case Commentary Writing Competition by Lawsevak will enable the participants to express their views and critically analyse the landmark judgments of India. For the Case Commentary Competition, a list of leading judgments will be given to the participants to choose from. The participant has to write a case commentary on any one of the given judgments in accordance with the competition guidelines.

Important Dates:

  • Last Day of Registration – 09 October 2020 (11:00 PM)
  • Last Day of Submission – 14 October 2020 (11:00 PM)
  • Result Declaration – 22 October 2020 (Tentatively)

Eligibility:

  • Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate course.
  • Graduate students preparing for higher studies / competitive exams / government services / jobs / etc.
  • Competition is open throughout India.

  • An entry with one Co-Author: Rs.120/- Only.

  • Multiple entries up to three entries by the same author(s) are allowed, provide each entry is made on a different case and shall accompany separate registration for each entry.
  • No submissions will be accepted after the last date of submission.
  • Submissions not made in accordance to the submission guidelines may be disqualified.
  • Certificates and Prize Money will be provided by electronic means only.
  • Lawsevak reserves the right to use or to transfer to La Senatus Scriptors any/all submissions made for this competitions for purpose to publication in Blog/Journal.

Submission Guidelines:

  • The Case Commentary should be sent in MS Word Format.
  • A cover page from participants comprising of Author(s) Full Name, University Name, E-mail Address, and Contact Number.
  • The word limit shall range from 1000 to 3000 words or more.
  • The title of the Case Commentary should be appropriate.
  • The body formatting of the Case Commentary shall be in :

        – Font Style – Garamond

        – Font Size – 12

        – Line Spacing – Single

        Footnotes formatting of the Case Commentary shall be in :

        – Font Style – Garamond

        – Font Size – 10

        – Line Spacing – Single

  • The operational part of the judgment must be included and the same must be in bold fonts.
  • The question of law involved must be in Italics fonts.
  • A margin of 4 centimetres shall be left on all sides of the paper.
  • The submission should not exceed 20% plagiarism, despite the fact that cases are cited and free from grammatical, spelling and other errors.
  • Page borders, footers, headers, watermark, or any identifications shall not be used.
  • Submissions must accompany with a declaration stating the genuineness of the work in the following format:

       Title – “ ( Complete Title of your Manuscript ) ”
