About the Webinar
The digital world today is filled with ways for fraudsters to attack brands and turn them into profit opportunities for themselves, while staying anonymous. With counterfeits in the digital space estimated to account for a 3rd of all such illicit products by volume, companies are incurring huge financial losses to online counterfeiting and pirated contents. There is also the added concern for brands of the negative impact that online brand impersonation imposes on customer experiences and their long-term loyalty. Consequently, in order to tackle online fraud, e-comm firms are adopting anti-counterfeiting and brand protection strategies to safeguard both brands and the consumers from illicit operators.
FICCI in association with Amazon India is organising a webinar on “Brand Protection in the Digital World” on 7 October 2022 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
The webinar will provide an opportunity for both industry & consumers to understand the scale of the counterfeiting issue; the strategies/brand protection tools that e-com platforms (like Amazon) as well as brands are implementing to curb the menace; the need for a practical approach of shared-responsibility among various e-comm players and brands towards a win-win situation, with the ultimate focus on protecting the consumers’ interest. There will also be experience-sharing sessions with brand-owners who sell on Amazon and their assessment of the various protection tools adopted by the e-com platform.
