Call for Blogs | DNLU Vidhi Mitra: Submit by Feb 28!

The Vidhi Mitra blog is accepting submissions from students and scholars of the Legal Fraternity.

About DNLU

Dharmashastra National Law University was established in 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 2018. DNLU emphasizes the value of inculcating research in each and every student and promotes scholarly qualities in them. Established in the ‘Sanskardhani’ of the State of Madhya Pradesh, it aims to develop the legal ambit by reflecting on our culture since time immemorial.

About Vidhi Mitra

The Vidhi Mitra Blog is aimed to provide an active forum to the legal fraternity to express and share their experiences and opinions on contemporary legal issues and themes prescribed by the cell. 

Theme

The Blog is open to any topic or corollary which revolves around “DIVERSITY DEFICIT IN INDIAN JUDICIARY” or any other contemporary legal issue(s) related. The Blog this time will also account for various facts/opinions for, against or with a nuanced perspective on the issue, with respect to the article shared by the Vidhi Mitra team on the blog.

Submission Guidelines

• The author(s) shall peruse the Article titled “DIVERSITY DEFICIT IN INDIAN JUDICIARY ” posted on the Blog website.
• The author(s) shall draft their viewpoints in the manuscript as a response to the Article in the form of a Counter Article.
• The author may choose one or more sub-themes for his/her manuscript. They may choose to counter the article as a whole or choose to counter arguments presented in any one sub-heading of the article.
• The article should be an original work of the author and neither published nor under consideration for publication in any other journal or blog. The work must not be plagiarized above 10%.
• Co-authorship (limited to 2 authors) is allowed.
• The Word Limit for Counter-Articles is between 3000 to 5000 words if the author is choosing to counter the whole article and 1500 to 3000 if the author is choosing to contradict any onesub-theme.
• Manuscripts above the prescribed word limit shall not be considered as a general rule, except under special circumstances subject to the sole discretion of the Editorial Board.
• The Bluebook, A Uniform System of Citation (20th Ed.) is to be followed for citation. All endnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, single-spacing and justified text.
• In case author(s) want(s) to roll out a series of blogs, the decision on the word limit shall be taken by editorial board accordingly.
• The submissions should be made online in a MS Word format document to: legalaid@mpdnlu.ac.in mentioning the details of the author(s), the category of the manuscript and the sub-theme(s) in the word document and not in the body of the mail.

Last Date

The last date for all the submissions will be 28th February 2022.
