About IRID
Irid Alternate Dispute Resolution Forum is an initiative to impart knowledge and create awareness about ADR.Arbitration and Mediation are no more an alternative and have become the first choice of parties, especially in case of commercial matters. The ongoing ADR developments in the Indian regime has resulted in rapid growth of this field and made it a lucrative career to pursue.
About speaker
Ms. Iram Majid is a legal professional with experience of 16+ years in handling wide range of criminal, matrimonial, civil, commercial, banking and finance matters cases inside the court as Advocate and outside the court as Mediator. She is the Director of Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM) and an IMI Certified Mediator. Iram had completed her LLM from KUK University. She has undergone training in mediation and cross culture mediation from Pepperdine University, Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, USA and Advance Mediation training from Harvard Law School, USA.
She has attended training in Negotiation Skill from ADR ODR INT, Dubai and Program on Negotiation from Harvard Law School. She is certified for International Business Negotiation and as Accredited Mediator from IIAM India. She is a mediator enlisted on the panel of Delhi High Court Mediation Centre SAMADHAN, as an Arbitrator with the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, Delhi High Court, as a mediator and arbitrator with the Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM).Iram is the co-author of book “Definition of Mediation” published by BLT and has compiled a book “Landmark judgments on Mediation and Arbitration. She has functioned as Judge in Vis East Mediation Moot competition and the ICC Mediation Moot Court Competition in Hong Kong and in various countries
About classes
Irid Alternate Dispute Resolution Forum is organizing virtual Arbitration classes. The main aim of these classes are to spread awareness about Arbitration as a mechanism of dispute resolution as well as to teach young professionals as well as students about Arbitration
