About National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. The scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young minds in colleges, universities and +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.
About Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first university established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.
